Regency TR-1
Introduced to consumers
right before Christmas, 1954, the TR-1 was the first transistor radio ever
commercially produced. It was available in a multitude of (now rare) colors,
used four oval transistors, and a 22.5 volt battery. The colors shown
here are Mandarin red, jade green, mottled mahogany, cloud gray, and ivory.
Regency previously manufactured signal boosters. |
